Getting started with Ploa

Ploa takes an app you built with an AI agent to the App Store and Google Play. Your agent works through the ploa CLI, and anything that can't be undone waits for you.

What you need

  1. Get an account

Ploa is invite-only for now: ask someone in a workspace to invite you, and open the link from the email.

  2. Connect your stores

In the dashboard, add an App Store Connect API key, a Google Play service account, or both. The setup guide shows where to make each one and which permissions to give.

  3. Add your app

Pick it from your store accounts, or add it by hand. iOS and Android pair up by their identifier.

  4. Install the CLI

On the computer where you build the app. It goes in ~/.ploa, with ploa in a folder on your PATH; nothing runs as root.

    curl -fsSL https://ploa.dev/install.sh | sh

Later, ploa update installs the newest version.

  5. Sign in, and check the computer

ploa login shows a code and opens Ploa to confirm it; there you choose what the CLI and your agents may do. ploa doctor checks Xcode, Java, the Android SDK and disk space.

    ploa login && ploa doctor
  6. Hand it to your agent

ploa mcp install adds Ploa to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code (Copilot) and Codex. Restart the agent, then ask it to send the app to TestFlight and internal testing. It links the app's folder to Ploa by itself and checks what the stores would reject first.

    ploa mcp install

Or do it yourself: ploa release ios, ploa release android; for an app built another way, with --ipa <file> or --aab <file>.

  7. Approve what goes out

Builds reach testers on their own. App Review and production wait for your approval in the dashboard, on your phone too, and everything is in the audit log.
